Mentorship Program
On Nov 8 the Young Leaders in Affordable Housing (YLAH) kicked off the 2012 Mentorship Program with a reception bringing together 35 mentors and mentees to meet for the first time in person. In total, more than 40 YLAH members have signed up as mentees and over 20 mentors have volunteered for the coming year. Both mentors and mentees represent organizations from across the country in the affordable housing industry, from policy nonprofits to financial institutions to federal agencies.
The mentorship program continues to seek mentors. Mentors will meet with their mentee on at least a quarterly basis. Mentors will provide career guidance, as well as a fresh perspective on the industry. Serving as a mentor is an opportunity for experienced professionals to invest in the future of the affordable housing field.
