Jeanne K. Engel began serving as Interim President and CEO of the National Housing Conference in October, 2011. She is a Washington-based consultant providing services in the areas of housing, energy and community development. Jeanne’s clients include government agencies, private financial institutions, the William J. Clinton Foundation and non-profit organizations. Her public-sector experience includes appointments as the General Deputy Assistant Secretary of HUD’s Office of Housing/FHA and Deputy Comptroller for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as well as serving in senior level positions at the state (HFA) and local levels. Internationally, Ms. Engel assisted financial institutions and housing organizations in Scotland, Poland, Romania, Uganda, Botswana, South Africa, Morocco and Egypt. |
