The 43rd Annual NHC Gala will honor organizations that have been leaders in making both homeownership and rental housing affordable and available for all in America. This year’s focus on housing and community development will highlight the work of the housing community to create not just homes, but opportunity all across America.

The Housing Visionary Award recognizes organizations or individuals shaping the path forward for affordable housing in America through leadership, innovation and a focus on people, communities and partnership.

As it has for over four decades, this year’s gala will provide members and friends of the housing community a chance to connect, celebrate and reflect on the work that must still be done to ensure safe, decent and affordable housing for all in America.

Annual Policy Symposium

NHC’s 2015 policy symposium brings together housing leaders from across the country to explore the many ways that housing can support families and individuals find their own path toward success while helping strengthen the communities in which they live.  Affordable housing, whether rented or owned, can serve as a platform for education, health, savings, and more.  Discussions throughout the day will focus on ways that federal policy can guide and empower for-profit and nonprofit housing stakeholders to deliver housing in ways that strengthen families and communities.
