During 2006, the National Housing Conference (NHC) is celebrating its 75th Anniversary as the nation’s first affordable housing and community development advocacy organization.

75th Anniversary of the National Housing Conference

On June 7, we will host a Gala at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, to celebrate this milestone and to rededicate ourselves to fulfilling the dream articulated in the landmark Housing Act of 1949, which called for “a decent home and a suitable living environment for every American family."

This will mark the 34th year that NHC has hosted an annual dinner bringing together leaders in the real estate, business and advocacy communities from across the country. In 2005, nearly 800 leaders of the real estate, business and advocacy communities attended and we expect that this year’s special Gala will attract an even larger audience. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only network with your colleagues but also to support affordable housing policy in a most visible way.
