Since 1974, the New York Housing Conference (NYHC) and NHC Annual Awards Luncheon has saluted individuals and organizations that have made New York a better place to live and work. Each December, more than 1,300 people from across the country gather to honor these distinguished award recipients and mark another year in the dedicated effort to help ensure decent, safe and affordable housing.

The 2009 Luncheon was held at the Hilton New York on December 10 and featured the following honorees and speakers:

Additionally, there were two complimentary symposiums prior to the event, the Federal Policy Symposium, and the Young Leadership Council Symposium.
