Action Needed!!

Urge Your U.S. Representative to Sign On to a Letter to the Budget Committee Chairman and Ranking Member to Oppose Budget Cuts to the Community Development Block Grant Program


Dear NHC member,

We need your assistance in generating support for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding among your U.S. Representatives.

Currently, a “Dear Colleague” letter is being circulated in the House of Representatives by Representatives Christopher Shays (R-CT) and Barney Frank (D-MA) requesting that their fellow members of the House sign a letter to the House Budget Committee Chairman Jim Nussle (R-IA) and Ranking Member John Spratt (D-SC) supporting full funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

To influence this process, we are asking you to immediately weigh in with your representatives in Congress and request that they sign the “Dear Colleague” letter to the House Budget Committee leadership. Members of the House have until close of business on Friday, March 3 to sign the letter to Nussle and Spratt.
