The National Housing Conference (NHC) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), an NHC Housing Leadership Support Program member, are partnering on a new series of four Bring Workers Home regional policy forums addressing workforce housing. These forums will take place throughout 2010 in the following locations: Atlanta, GA; Minneapolis, MN; Austin, TX; and Honolulu, HI.
Each Bring Workers Home regional forum will explore a core set of issues including:
• Learn how to create and sustain a workforce housing program in your community;
• Understand the importance of advancing workforce housing through local and regional partnerships;
• Explore workforce housing issues from the perspective of employers; and
• Hear from other practitioners and advocates managing successful workforce housing strategies.
The Bring Workers Home forums are designed to attract a wide range of attendees, including employers and HR professionals, REALTORS®, city planners, housing and community development leaders, local elected and appointed officials, state HFA representatives, and others.
