Earlier this week, the District’s of Columbia’s Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announced that the city was granted $33.7 million under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. While DHCD Director Leila Edmonds didn’t specify which housing projects would benefit from this grant, she stressed that “funds like these are especially necessary in this difficult financing market.”
