This webinar, hosted with Neighborhood Partnerships showed how the housing community can use science-based communications techniques in their work. Janet Byrd and Matt Kinshella from Neighborhood Partnerships explained the toolkit’s concepts and show you how to use the tools in your work. Amy Clark of NHC also provided a brief introduction to the Housing Communications HUB, where the toolkit and other useful housing communications resources can be found.

About the Presenters

Amy Clark is the director of marketing and communications at the National Housing Conference, where she leads the development and execution of NHC’s strategic communications efforts to elevate housing affordability as a first-tier issue on the national agenda. Janet Byrd‘s roots as a neighborhood organizer in Chicago working on housing issues as varied as insurance redlining, neighborhood disinvestment and tenant rights stoked a passion for housing policy and community development that has remained constant over the intervening years.

Matt Kinshella joined Neighborhood Partnerships NP in early 2014. He leads all communications work including managing our websites, design, social media presence and email marketing efforts. He works with the board and the executive director on strategy and development. And he helps coordinate NP’s Advocates College efforts.
